Manufacturer of vacuum equipment Edwards has won an order to supply an EDP400 chemical dry pump system to CABB AG, which produces fine chemicals for the agrochemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Leading vacuum technology company Edwards has appointed Wolfgang Binder as General Manager for Europe to lead the company’s growth in the European semiconductor, solar and general vacuum markets.

DESY (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron) is the largest German research center for basic research in the natural sciences, with special emphasis upon accelerators, photon science and particle physics. DESY develops, runs and uses accelerators and detectors for photon science and particle physics.

Following its acquisition of the well-known Bolton, UK based engineering company Hick Hargreaves & Co Ltd in 2001, leading vacuum technology business Edwards has integrated the Hick Hargreaves range of steam ejector systems, water injection deaerators and high pressure feed heaters into its product portfolio.

Leading vacuum technology company Edwards has won an order worth more than £1.5 million to supply liquid ring vacuum pump systems to Indian company Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL).

Edwards has secured a £50,000 order to supply its HV8000 mechanical booster pumps to a European high temperature materials manufacturer. The boosters, which enable users across many industries, including steel, to make operational cost savings, will replace steam ejectors on a chemical vapour infiltration (CVI) process.

Leading vacuum technology company Edwards has supplied a two module dry pump steel degassing system to Tenova Core as part of a secondary metallurgical facility for McConway and Torley (M&T), a steel foundry in Eastern Pennsylvania, US, which is part of Trinity Industries Group.

Edwards has won an order worth more than £200,000 for its new generation steel degassing system in India. This is the first system of its kind in the country and has been installed at Shyam Forgings Pvt in New Delhi.

Edwards, the global manufacturer of vacuum pumping equipment, has introduced a new flexible service for industrial and chemical pumps. The company can also now service any manufacturer’s vacuum pumps, allowing customers to make cost savings for maintenance and repair by having all their pumps serviced in the same place.

Leading vacuum technology company Edwards has signed a contract to supply China’s Chong Qing Steel Group Co. with the world’s largest dry mechanical vacuum pumping system. The total value is in excess of US$ 8 million – Edwards’ largest ever single project order in the metallurgical market.
