The Hydraulic Institute (HI) announces the launch of its new Pump System Certification (PSC) program. Designed to help address the growing need for skilled professionals in the pump and fluid handling industries, this program provides a formal, industry-recognized certification to validate expertise in critical pump system knowledge.

If work on a production line is easy to perform, this reduces the number of errors and thus downtime. In order to build up the expertise of its operators and maintenance personnel more quickly and more sustainably, the Coca-Cola production site in Mannheim, Germany, is now relying on KHS’ Virtual Training Center or VTC. This facilitates learning regardless of the time of day or location.

Effective January 9, 2025, Svanehøj has acquired Netherlands-based European Pump Services (EPS) B.V., a company specializing in the integration and service of pump solutions for the industrial, offshore and maritime sectors. It is Svanehøj’s fourth acquisition in last four years, and the first since joining ITT Inc. in January 2024.

As population grows and economies expand, they are putting an immense strain on the world’s water supplies. According to the UN World Water Development Report 2024, 2.2 billion people worldwide have no access to clean drinking water.

The Busch Group has expanded the production facility of Pfeiffer Vacuum+Fab Solutions in Romania. The new premises have now been inaugurated. The use of hand pumps in industry and trade comes with certain risks. They can endanger health and safety and lead to cross-contamination between tanks. Seeking to prevent this, Lutz Pumpen has developed a new modular pump tube – one of the few specifically designed for use in canisters.
