The winners of the prestigious 2009 AHR EXPO Innovation Awards have been announced and will be honored at the HVAC/R industry’s leading event at Chicago’s McCormick Place on Tuesday, January 27th at 1 pm in the New Product Technology Theater A (located in the South Hall).

The European arm of Japanese pump manufacturer, Tsurumi has announced that it is to take control of French company CE2A, the long-standing Tsurumi pump dealership for the French market.

The 49th Europump Annual Meeting will be held in Stockholm 3 – 6 June 2009 at the city’s Grand Hôtel. The meeting gathers leading pump manufacturers from Europe and the United States to discuss the issues that affect the global pump industry.

Armstrong has launched a new range of twin-head pumps offering even greater energy efficiency and flexibility. Sulzer further increased its order intake with an adjusted¹ growth of 10.1% (nominal 1.5%) to CHF 4 116.6 million in 2008. The order intake was primarily driven by the strong double-digit growth of Sulzer Pumps. The negative currency translation impact was significant, while acquisitions had only a negligible effect.

Franklin Electric Co., Inc.,the world’s largest manufacturer of submersible electric motors and a leading supplier of water pumping and fuel pumping systems, announced that it has completed the acquisition of seventy-five percent of the outstanding shares of Vertical S.p.A. (“Vertical”), for cash. Franklin Electric expects the transaction to be accretive to its earnings per share in 2009.

The Charleston Branch Office of Tencarva Machinery Company, a Greensboro headquartered distributor of pumps, compressors and related accessories, more than tripled its space when it recently expanded its facility, according to David Lee, Charleston Branch Office manager.
