BWT is expanding its expertise with the taking over of the pharmaceutical water activities of the Christ Water Technology Group incl. a 49% stake in zeta-group. Bringing an entirely new dimension to safety, hygiene and health in contact with life’s elixir “water”, in particular in pharmaceutical water applications.

Aqua Engineering South Africa (Pty) Ltd., a subsidiary of Christ Water Technology Group has been awarded one of the largest water treatment contract ever placed in South Africa, valued at € 60 million.

“Proceeding with our clean-up, in the third quarter, the assessment of bad old projects in power in particular leads us to take another hit in earnings to finish unprofitable business, make the company fit in structure and create profitability potentials also in a tough environment. We have seen delays in order decisions in some areas but still note robust business for the time being,” Malek Salamor, CEO of the Christ Water Technology Group comments on the Q3 figures.

Christ Water Technology will present new processes in water treatment on the World Water Congress which is taking place from September 7-11, 2008 in Vienna.

The Supervisory Board of Christ Water Technology AG took the resolution today to change the Management Board with immediate effect.

For the new 8 billion US$ Emirates Aluminium Project with a final total capacity of 1,400,000 tons per year, Aqua EPC L.L.C., Dubai, UAE, the Regional Operation of Aqua Engineering GmbH and Part of the Christ Water Technology Group, has received an EPC-contract for the Sea Water Desalination and Demineralization Systems .

Christ Water Technology has received orders worth more than EUR 327 million in the full year 2007 exceeding last year´s value by more than 33% representing the highest volume in its history.

Aqua Engineering, Mondsee, a Group company of Christ Water Technology AG, was awarded the engineering and construction on a turnkey basis of a large seawater desalination plant by Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority, leading a consortium together with the local construction partner Tecton Engineering L.L.C.

The positive trend evident within the CHRIST Group continued in the second quarter of 2006. “We made great progress in most areas and take advantage of growth opportunities benefiting from a positive capital goods investment cycle,” says Karl Michael Millauer, CEO, commenting on the first half-year figures.
