CHRIST Received Sea Water Desalination-Contract in U.A.E.

For the new 8 billion US$ Emirates Aluminium Project with a final total capacity of 1,400,000 tons per year, Aqua EPC L.L.C., Dubai, UAE, the Regional Operation of Aqua Engineering GmbH and Part of the Christ Water Technology Group, has received an EPC-contract for the Sea Water Desalination and Demineralization Systems .

For Phase 1, the installed capacity of the Sea Water Desalination System will be a total of 20,304 m³/d (1.Pass) with the volume of the initial contract for CHRIST in excess of 11 Mio US$ (more than 42 Mio AED).

"Using the combined resources of the Christ Water Technology Group, the long regional experience especially in Sea Water Desalination as well as the strong local presence in the U.A.E. have enabled us to win this contract “, says Kai-Uwe Buerger, Managing Director of Aqua EPC L.L.C.. The Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM)Services Contract for the EMAL Smelter is being carried out by SNC-Lavalin.
