Siemens is extending its Sinamics G120C converter series to include three new frame sizes for high power output ranges. The new enclosure sizes cover the power output range from 22 to 132 kilowatts (kW), making the converter series available from 0.55 kW to 132 kW.
The Simatic ET 200SP motor starter protects electric motors and loads. Siemens has designed it for higher performance, and added new versions and functions. Four adjustment ranges up to 5.5 kilowatts now make the motor starter particularly powerful.
Siemens has received two orders from Russia and Turkey for a model SST-111 compact steam turbine. One turbine was ordered by the Russian aluminum producer Rusal for a production facility in Volgograd and is to be delivered at the end of April 2017.
Siemens has won an order from the Trans Adriatic Pipeline consortium for six 15-megawatt SGT-400-driven turbo compressor trains. The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) will open up the so-called Southern Gas Corridor for Europe. Installation is scheduled for 2017 and the pipeline is expected to begin operating in late 2019.
Siemens has launched FS AA and FS AB frame size Sinamics V20 converters, the company s smallest so far on the market. With a width of just 68 millimeters and a height of 142 millimeters, the corporation has substantially reduced the installation dimensions of the Sinamics V20 for low powered motors.
