The multinational technology company Wilo has officially commissioned its hydrogen plant at the company headquarters in Dortmund. The grand opening of the H2Powerplant took place during the international industry conference at the Wilopark in Dortmund.
To mark its 150th anniversary, Wilo threw a big family party in Dortmund with approximately 3,500 guests.

The rating provider Ecovadis has awarded the Wilo Group the platinum medal for sustainability. Following silver (2019 and 2020) and gold (2021), this is the first time the multinational technology group has received the rating agency’s highest award. Only one percent of the 90,000 companies assessed worldwide by Ecovadis achieve the platinum rating.
The Wilo Group wins the prestigious German Brand Award for the seventh time in a row. At this year’s awards ceremony in Berlin, the multinational technology company received the coveted award in several categories.
At the media day at the Rowing Performance Centre in Dortmund, the Team German Men’s Eight presented its new line-ups for the German Men’s Eight as well as for the Coxless Pair and the Men’s Four. The new crews are evidence of a change in the successful team, which also won Olympic silver in Tokyo last year after three World Championships and eight European Championships in a row.

The Wilo Group is donating more than 60 mobile water treatment systems to Ukraine. Each of these systems, called PAUL (portable aqua unit for lifesaving), can filter around 1,200 litres of water per day and therefore supply at least 400 people in crisis areas with fresh drinking water. Thus, the water-backpacks help to maintain vital basic supplies in severely stricken communities.
