he Wilo Group has had a successful financial year in 2022. The multinational technology group generated a new record turnover of around 1.9 billion euros in the year marking its 150th anniversary. Wilo thus increased its sales revenues by 14.2 percent. The company’s earnings before tax (EBITDA) rose by 8.6 percent to 196.7 million euros.
In November, Wilo’s Smart Factory in Dortmund was named “Factory of the Year 2022” in the “Excellent transformation: digitalization” category. Officials of the multinational technology group have now officially accepted the award at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
For more than a decade, the Dortmund-based technology company Wilo has stood by the side of Borussia Dortmund as a champion partner – and most recently also as sustainability partner. This close cooperation is now being further strengthened for the benefit of Dortmund as a sports location: Wilo is now also sponsoring the Borussia Dortmund women’s handball team.

The Wilo Group is donating 55 more PAUL* water backpacks to treat water in the troubled region. The Wilo Group already brought more than 70 of the portable, energy self-sufficient water treatment units to the war zone in cooperation with partners from German water management and local aid organisations in the spring.
The Wilo Group is acquiring two specialists in flood control and wastewater treatment in China.
