Pentair plc announced second quarter 2019 sales of $800 million. Sales were up 2 percent compared to sales for the same period last year. Excluding currency translation, acquisitions and divestitures, core sales grew 1 percent in the second quarter.

The German manufacturer of fans and motors, ebm-papst, enjoys continued and profitable global growth. Despite a difficult market climate with political instabilities and shortage of material, the family-owned company with its headquarters in Baden-Wurttemberg finished the fiscal year 2018/19 on 31 March 2019 with sales revenues of € 2.183 billion.

Following a year of fundamental changes and con­solidation, Frankenthal-based pump and valve manufacturer KSB has charted a course for growth and is looking back on a positive first quarter of 2019. Flowserve Corporation a leading provider of flow control products and services for the global infrastructure markets, announced its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2019.

Power plant purchasers will spend $3.2 billion for pumps next year. Sixty-seven percent of the purchases will be for Asian power plants. Decades ago many pump decisions for Asian power plants were made in other regions by international power plant developers. Today many Chinese power plant developers are making pump decisions for Africa, the Middle East and Turkey.

Xylem reported first quarter 2019 net income of $79 million, or $0.43 per share. Excluding the impact of restructuring, realignment and special charges, the Company delivered adjusted net income of $94 million or $0.52 per share in the quarter.
