Despite continuing geopolitical challenges, pump and valve manufacturer KSB has reported strong performance for the second quarter of 2026. Both sales revenue and earnings before finance income / expense and income tax (EBIT) increased significantly compared with the first quarter of 2026, which included one-off income from the first-time consolidation of KSB Pumps Arabia Ltd.

DESMI Group delivered strong sales growth in 2025 and further strengthened its market position across several key business areas, despite continued global uncertainty and challenging market conditions.

In the first months of 2026, the Australian, internationally active water and wastewater treatment company De.mem was able to position itself well in the market. This was due in part to the strong performance of Core Chemicals, a new subsidiary of De.mem, which the company acquired last autumn.

Global machinery and plant manufacturer GEA delivered a very good performance in the first quarter of 2026. The Company improved all relevant financial performance metrics compared to the prior-year quarter.

In 2025, the SDAX-listed Group passed the € 3 billion mark in both order intake and, for the first time, sales revenue. The company also increased its EBIT (earnings before finance income / expense and income tax).

Shortly before IFAT Munich 2026, current industry figures from the exhibiting mechanical engineering sectors show that Europe is gaining importance as a growth driver, while the U.S. and China are losing momentum.

Xylem recently reported first-quarter 2026 results. The Company delivered total revenue of $2.1 billion, on strong execution. First-quarter earnings per share were up 14 percent on a reported basis and 9 percent on an adjusted Basis.

In 2025, Endress+Hauser generated over four billion euros in sales for the first time. Its successful integration of sensor manufacturer SICK’s gas analysis and gas measurement technology enabled good growth.

Wilo has had a successful financial year in 2025. With a currency-adjusted sales increase of 4.5%, the water technology group has continued its profitable growth trajectory. Total net sales rose to €1,918.7 million. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose as planned by 39% to €212 million.

The manufacturing economy has faced a series of challenges over the past three years, constricting growth of the precision gearbox market. However, to generate additional revenue streams, precision gearbox manufacturers have been taking proactive measures.
