After attending the seminar, participants will be able to optimize the availability, efficiency and reliability of their pumps.

The training program is aimed at specialists with experience in the operation as well as repair of centrifugal pumps, and it is being conducted in theoretical and practical sessions. It offers an improved understanding of the principles as well as functioning of centrifugal pumps, mechanical seals and other pump components.

The theoretical sessions will provide knowledge of centrifugal pumps, their operation and maintenance, typical causes of faults and how to avoid them, as well as specialist knowledge on selection and installation of mechanical seals. The possibilities for modifying the design of an existing pump that have been proven in practice will also be discussed. During a plant visit, participants will also be given an in-depth insight into the modern production of a pump package and how a centrifugal pump is tested prior to delivery.

The practical exercises on pumps and mechanical seals will give attendees the opportunity to supplement their theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience of pump strip-down and assembly.

The next training program entitled “Pump Maintenance and Operation” will take place November 17 - 20, 2020 in Bruchsal and Mannheim.
