Discussions focussed on the issues of automation, electrification and digitalisation.

“Attending the Innovation Summit was a great opportunity for us to share our insights, learn new things and strengthen dialogue with our partners”, says Georg Weber, Member of the Executive Board and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the Wilo Group. “Cooperation is crucial in shaping a more sustainable future. The necessary transformation requires leading innovators to work together as partners in joint projects.”

Georg Weber himself took to the stage in various formats at the Innovation Summit, including the Opinion Maker Roundtable “Digitalising and Advancing the Industrial Transition”, where he reported on Wilo’s experiences in implementing their own innovative, sustainable projects. Together with Schneider Electric, Wilo commissioned the pilot H2POWERPLANT at the Wilopark, Wilo’s headquarters in Dortmund, in 2022.

The system solution is the result of collaboration between the two companies who share a common vision for the use of carbon-neutral hydrogen technologies. It utilises green energy to produce and store hydrogen. Wilo is now marketing the hydrogen solution for decentralised energy supply and helping customers to configure, implement and commission the units. The H2POWERPLANT is one of numerous sustainable projects which demonstrate the joint contribution of the two technology groups to the green transformation.
