Pump manufacturer Zuwa has a series of waste water pumps especially designed for fermentation plants and other hazardous areas.

The ATEX directive gives a clear guide line for marketing products used in potentially explosive atmospheres - bio gas plants are classified as potentially explosive atmospheres.

Submersible waste water pumps are frequently used to remove condensed water from the dead well and return it to the fermenter.

Zuwa’s submersible waste water pumps transport solids up to a particle size of 42 mm, depending on the model. Pump body and rotor are made of cast iron the shaft is made of stainless steel. Pumps are available with a flow rate from 300 up to 500 litres per minute and can pump 8 until 12 meters high.

The float switch for this pump is available as well.

Zuwa exhibits the ATEX pumps and further Pump systems, during the Agritechnica trade show in Hannover from November 10 – 16, 2013, in Hall 23, booth J09.
