Metso has successfully completed its acquisition of the valve automation division of India based Rotex Manufacturers and Engineers Private Limited (RMEPL), by acquiring all of the shares in RMEBS Controls Private Limited (RMEBS).
To respond to the growing global demand in the valve market, Metso has decided to invest in a new green-field valve technology center in Jiaxing, China. The new-build plant will strengthen Metso s valve and related products production capabilities and increase capacity for customers across various process industries, both in China and globally.
Metso has won orders to deliver dewatering solutions to a customer developing greenfield and brownfield potash projects in Belarus. Metso s deliveries consist of inclined plate settler (IPS) units used for thickening in different applications. The orders are booked in Metso s third-quarter 2018 orders received.
Metso has signed an agreement to acquire the valve automation division of the India-based valve technology company Rotex Manufacturers and Engineers. The company has a market-leading position in India in the actuator business and an advanced offering of switches, process valves, and valve automation products and solutions.
The recent FMI study shows that the solenoid valve industry is expected to record US$ 4.5 billion in 2023.
Petri Rasinmäki has been appointed Business Line President, Paper, at Valmet as of September 1, 2023. In his new position, Petri Rasinmäki will be a member of Valmet’s Executive Team reporting to President and CEO Pasi Laine. Jari Vähäpesola, the current Business Line President, Paper, has decided to retire after a long, successful career at Valmet as of December 1, 2023.
Mr. Tero Kokko, Ph.D., M.Sc., has been appointed President, EMEA at Valmet as of June 1, 2023. In his new position, Tero Kokko is a member of Valmet’s Executive Team and reports to President and CEO Pasi Laine. Tero Kokko currently works in Valmet’s Services business line as Vice President, Fabrics business unit, where he started in 2020.

Metso’s valve business, future Neles Corporation, will establish two new service centers in Lisbon, Portugal, and in the Mulhouse area, France, to increase its valves’ service availability and presence close to customers.
In the future Endress+Hauser Oy will be the exclusive provider of Endress+Hauser field devices and related solutions and services in the Finnish market. The new company started operations as of 1 July 2015 and resume all business responsibilities which include maintaining the longstanding customer relationships with companies in the Finnish process industries.
