In the first quarter of 2013, the BWT – Best Water Technology – Group increased its consolidated revenues by 0.6% to €119.8 million. „Our strategy of brand building of BWT with the end consumer yields first benefits that allow us to increase Group revenues despite strong revenue declines in Southern Europe and Scandinavia“, says Andreas Weissenbacher, CEO of the BWT Group about the first quarter 2013.

BWT discloses the Annual Report 2012 confirming the preliminary figures reported on February 21.

At this year’s World Water Day on 22 March, Europe’s leading water technology company, BWT, will be helping people in Cambodia get access to clean water. A donation will finance the drilling of a well that will supply safe drinking water to 25 families living in a province in the north-east of the country.

BWT is starting an extensive investment programme into brand and infrastructure.

The BWT Group s consolidated revenues increased in the period of January to September by 16.3% from €296.9 million to €345.2 million. All in all, revenues in the point-of-entry business increased by 14.3% in the first nine months.

In the first half-year, consolidated revenues of BWT increased by 15.2% year-on-year, from € 200.0 million to € 230.4 million. Revenues in the Point-of-Entry business increased by 12.9% in the first six months.

Best Water Technology-Group acquires “Culligan International (UK) Limited”, one of the UK affiliate of the US-based Culligan-Group and is now represented in the UK by a wholly owned subsidiary.

“We have followed a good way in the second quarter. With new products and the cost savings measures implemented already last year we were able to stabilize our earnings situation on a good level. At the same time, we have improved our balance sheet again reducing our debt,” says Andreas Weissenbacher, CEO of the BWT Group about the first half-year 2009.

BWT is expanding its expertise with the taking over of the pharmaceutical water activities of the Christ Water Technology Group incl. a 49% stake in zeta-group. Bringing an entirely new dimension to safety, hygiene and health in contact with life’s elixir “water”, in particular in pharmaceutical water applications.
