PARSIPPANY, NJ, January 31, 2002 – The Hydraulic Institute (HI), under the approval of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), is seeking qualified participants for the review and approval of new standards for abrasive slurry handling pumps.

Late in November 2001, the valve factories of KSB Armaturen GmbH in Germany, France, Luxembourg and India were certified to meet the requirements laid down in the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED). Accreditation was granted by the German TÜV (Association for Technical Supervision) and Lloyds Register.
