ALMATEC: Mobile Pumping Stations

25.01.2002

In addition to stationary pneumatic diaphragm pumps mobile units are also required in many production plants...

Mobile pumping stations of ALMATEC are used, for example, as emergency pumps, as temporary replacements for pumps under repair, or for transferring liquids from one movable container to another.

They consist of the stainless steel trolley, the ALMATEC pneumatic diaphragm pump (A-Series or Chemicor series) with pulsation damper, and the supplementary equipment (air supply with claw coupling, filter pressure reducer, control valve, and the internal connections to pump and damper).

For an emergency pump it is advantageous to use PTFE conductive as housing material. Because of the nearly universal chemical resistance of PTFE, there is no need to check the resistance against the liquid, an important time saving factor. Moreover, the conductive material allows the use of the pump without difficulties in explosion-proof areas and for inflammable liquids.

Mobile pumping stations are an indispensable part of the emergency equipment required in every company.
