HOUSTON–National-Oilwell, Inc. today announced that it has acquired the Wheatley Gaso and Omega pump product lines from Halliburton Company for approximately $13 million cash. In 1999, the acquired business had revenues of almost $20 million.

Springer as president of its Viking Pump subsidiary in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Springer succeeds John L. McMurray, who was appointed vice president of operational excellence for IDEX.

Charles H. (Chuck) Norris, Jr., has been named president of Marley Pump following the resignation of Robert Moore on Tuesday. Norris begins his new position immediately and reports to Jamie Gibbs, president of Marley Cooling Tower.

On Wednesday, September 13, 2000, Sulzer signed an agreement to acquire the turbine machinery activities of the Interturbine Group, a privately owned company based in Lomm/The Netherlands. The acquisition includes Eldim and Interturbine Coating Center which will be integrated into Sulzer Metco, and Elbar which will be integrated into Sulzer Turbomachinery Services.

DELAVAN, WI – Jim Donnelly, president and chief executive officer of Sta-Rite Industries, has been elected president and chief executive officer of WICOR Industries, a Wisconsin Energy subsidiary, which includes Sta-Rite Industries, SHURflo and Hypro Corporation, all pump-manufacturing businesses. Donnelly will also continue his responsibilities as president of Sta-Rite.

KSB Limited of Loughborough, the UK arm of KSB Aktiengesellschaft, Frankenthal, has acquired the companies Prüftechnik Services Limited and Pumpserve Limited in a deal that will increase KSB’s service capability across the UK.

Invoiced sales for the first half of 2000 increased to MSEK 1211 (last year MSEK 1165) This corresponds to an increase of 3% adjusted for currency fluctuations and acquisitions. The increase was good in the water and wastewater segment which accounts for more than half of ABS sales. Deliveries to the process industry were at the same level as last year, whereas shipments to the building and construction area increased only thanks to the acquisition of CH&E in the US.
