New president of Viking Pump

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa, IDEX Corporation (NYSE: IEX), a leading manufacturer of proprietary engineered industrial products, today announced the appointment of Glen C. Springer as president of its Viking Pump subsidiary in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Springer succeeds John L. McMurray, who was appointed vice president of operational excellence for IDEX.

For the last four years, Springer, 58, has been the executive vice

president of Viking Pump. Before this, he served in several manufacturing and general management positions after joining the company in 1990.

Viking Pump, Inc. is one of the world's largest producers of internal gear pumps, which are used to transfer and meter thin and viscous liquids. Viking is based in Cedar Falls, Iowa, with additional operations in Canada, England and Ireland.

IDEX Corporation is a manufacturer of proprietary pump products,

dispensing equipment and other engineered products with leading positions in niche markets. Its products are sold to a wide range of industries throughout the world.
