Halliburton’s Energy Services Group has successfully completed the pre-commissioning phase of the East Gas Pipeline Project in Egypt for Egyptian Natural Gas Company (GASCO).

Hidrostal Limited, based in Newbury, Berkshire have been awarded a contract to supply pumps to transfer surface water runoff, which can contain traces of oil, aviation fuel, de-icer fluid etc, from the runway and car park at the new Terminal facility at Heathrow Terminal 5, to a downstream separator.

The City of Whitehorse in Melbourne ‘s eastern suburbs has installed a unique rainwater use system. Rain which falls on a substantial roof area of the Whitehorse Civic Centre and the administrative offices is now collected, conserved and used as the supply to flush the public toilets of the building.

A leading supplier of vacuum pumps, BOC Edwards, has won a $1,000,000 contract for a large-scale vacuum pump system comprising three 30B5 vapor booster pumps and two GV Drystar pumps.

Clear Liquid Division’s, Weir Floway, has secured a contract with the China National Offshore Oil Company (CNOOC) to supply fire pumps worth over $2million for the company’s Chunxiao Gas Field Complex.

Close working between Weir Clear Liquid and Weir Services Divisions, went a long way to assisting Weir Clear Liquid secure an Australian order against fierce competition in the aggressive power marketplace.

Weir Services have recently been awarded two major contracts by US oil and gas exploration and production company Amerada Hess.

Nissho Iwai American Corp. (NIAC) was awarded a contract by the State of California, Department of Water Resources (DWR) to furnish and install four vertical centrifugal pumps for the Edmonston Pumping Plant. The pumps will be designed and built by Hitachi, Ltd. of Japan. The contract, valued at approximately $30,000,000, is expected to run for 8 years.

Allweiler AG will deliver eight fuel skids and eight purge-water facilities for a new power plant in Kuwait. Allweiler will also help enlarge an existing power plant in Indonesia with the addition of six fuel skids. The company overcame strong international competition in order to win these two orders, worth a total of 2.7 million euros. This order volume is one of the largest since Allweiler’s pump skid division was formed.

Grundfos Pumps Northern Region, which has had sales responsibility for Iraq within the Grundfos world since the late 80’s, has secured a £1.5M order for immediate shipment.
