The VSX Pump Team was recognized for its "Development of a best-in-class pump that combines five product lines into one, features a new hydraulic system, and is an entirely new pump platform suitable for the global market." The VSX was introduced in late 2005.

Making the most of extensive research, as well as feedback from more than three hundred industry professionals from around the world, the VSX Team created a new double-suction, split-case, base-mounted centrifugal pump that provides HVACR professionals with more options for piping than any other pump on the market. Using Value Based Product Development guidelines, and relying primarily on Voice of the Customer concepts, the VSX Team created a revolutionary pump design that delights the customer.

"We are very proud of our VSX Pump Team and the many hours of hard work they put into developing a line of pumps that provides our customers with superior performance and value," said Karl Buscher, Vice-President of Marketing and Product Management for ITT Residential & Commercial Water. "We look forward to more of these breakthrough designs, enabling R&CW to achieve our mission as a premier global water transport and control provider."
