After VSX – VOGEL SOFTWARE has presented the new generation of Spaix® in October 2002, the manuals for the PumpSelector and the Database Programme can be downloaded from now on in German as well as in English.

Manuals for Spaix® V2 are ready for download

Spaix® V2 represents an improved and extended version of the previous pump selection software model Spaix® V1. The new software is unique throughout the world in its functional diversity and ensures an efficient selection and configuration of almost all types of centrifugal pumps. When developing Spaix® V2 the main interest was to improve the software in a way that it meets the users’ daily requirements and makes their work easier. Due to close contact to pump manufacturers and operators a great number of wishes and pieces of advice of VSX clients were respected in setting up the new generation.

The main advantages of Spaix® V2 are:

  • the integrated internet update function

Thanks to the integrated internet update function the software can be updated automatically, and pump manufacturers, who have purchase the company advertising license and pass the software on to their customers, can update their data by means of this function. This means complicated CD productions due to price or data changes are not necessary anymore.

  • data group administration

This option enables Spaix® V2 users to adapt its data base to different local markets.

  • time and cost savings in operational routines

The programme guides the user from the selection of the pump, the component configuration, the accessory selection through to the price information. When drawing up quotations it is therefore unnecessary to consult price lists, catalogues or CD-ROMs.

  • integrated PDF export

Via the integrated PDF export the quotation including the complete documentation can be sent as an e-mail to customers. This shortens response times and improves the quotation’s quality.

  • complete integration VDMA 24278 data sheet

The project interface enables a quick data exchange between pump manufacturers and operators, which tightens up operational routines and saves time and costs during the planning as well as the procurement phases.

  • complex algorithms for special constructions

Spaix® V2 is able to handle complex algorithms for magnet drive pumps, vertical line shaft pumps or for motor curve correction. Therefore, the software can be used for detailed dimensionings of almost all types of centrifugal pumps, respecting their constructional particularities.

  • improved accessory selection

Various selection levels such as electrical and mechanical accessories can be defined via classifications. The user is guided precisely to the correct additional components according to the current pump configuration and type of installation. Furthermore accessory recommended by the manufacturer can be integrated into the accessory selection.

  • optimised data maintenance

The Spaix® Database Programme offers a graphic user interface for the maintenance of all data. Due to the use of a standardised database, data base information only needs to be updated once and can be used for internal use, on customer CDs, on the manufacturer’s own website and even for the global pump selector of www.impeller.net. This ensures that users have a high degree of flexibility while at a minimised time expenditure on data maintenance.

To make a long story short: Spaix® represents the ideal solution for pump manufacturers, operators, planners and engineering offices.
