Hydraulic Institute Announces Board of Directors for 2019-2020

Environmental aspects and economic considerations play a decisive role, when municipal water works are considering the purchase of modern pumping technology. SEEPEX’s energy-efficient and low-maintenance Smart Air Injection (SAI) system ensures that thick sludge reaches its destination at low pressures, even over distances of one kilometer. Some years ago, the British Pump Manufacturers’ Association – the organisation which represents the interests of UK and Irish suppliers of liquid pumps – launched an initiative in e-learning for the pump industry. It was the first suite of truly independent pumping technology training, which is still revered worldwide today.

The new office, which is legally a representative office of DESMI Pumping Technology A/S, will be headed by our new colleague, Simone Carluccio, as of 1st June 2021. 

Since its creation, some seven years ago, the ‘Introduction to Pumping Technology’ E-Learning Training Course, delivered by the British Pump Manufacturers Association’s (BPMA) has always enjoyed good levels of enrolment, averaging between 45 and 55 students annually.

The British Pump Manufacturers Association’s (BPMA) Pump Fundamentals Training Course was originally developed as a one-day classroom-based course, usually held at its training facility in West Bromwich.

The Hydraulic Institute (HI) has published new American National Standards combining 1-series and 2-series standards into a single 14-series standards.
