Flygt Canada Celebrates its 50th Anniversary
ITT Flygt, a leading supplier of submersible pumps and mixers is celebrating its 50 years of service to the Canadian municipal, mining, construction and industrial sectors in 2005.
In 1955 Flygt started doing business in Canada by establishing a private company in Vancouver. During the following two years distributorships were established in Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto and Montreal. By 1962, Flygt decided to enter the market through direct sales and opened its first Branch in Quebec City and later opened its Head office in Montreal because of the cities port facilities. Flygt Canada now has fifteen offices throughout the country namely in St. John’s, Halifax, Moncton, Quebec, Montreal, Val d’or, Ottawa, Toronto, Sudbury, Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver. A team of twenty four authorized Distributors is also part of Flygt’s network.
The products offered by ITT Flygt are submersible pumps for water and wastewater; submersible mixers for process and treatment plants; sophisticated controls and control systems for water and wastewater; as well as other related accessories and products. The services we offer are pump and mixer repairs; on-site system start-up; on-site preventative maintenance service; and technical product service support.
The Dewatering division is in the business of equipment rental and project dewatering. In Canada, ITT Flygt clients can count on the services of its 185 employees.
