In addition to the extensive supporting program taking place in the forums at IFAT, this year the show will also feature eight live demonstrations—four on water & sewage, and four on recycling & municipal technologies. IFAT 2016 takes place from May 30 to June 3 at the Messe München exhibition center.
Exhibitor allocation for Ifat Environmental Technology Forum Africa has begun and the organizers are very positive about the stand confirmations to date: The exhibitor target for this trade fair, premiering in Johannesburg at the Johannesburg Expo Centre has already been exceeded.

Carlo Banfi, Managing Director of Sterling Fluid Systems (Italy) and President of Assopompe, the Italian Pump Manufacturers Association, is the new Europump President. He was elected President in Prague, the Czech Republic, in replacement of Dr. Sönke Brodersen.
The latest annual EIF World Pump Market Report was presented by Vivian Woodward of European Industrial Forecasting Ltd (EIF) at the Europump Marketing Commission meeting in Thimister, Belgium, on 16 November 2012.
Practical experience has shown that there is still considerable potential for reducing the operating costs of existing systems in primary industry. Particularly on continuous-flow machines such as pumps and compressors that operate at partial load, changing to high-efficiency motors and variable-speed drives can reduce energy consumption by as much as 50 %.
The environmental trade fair, IFAT, the 16th International Trade Fair for Water – Sewage – Refuse – Recycling, will now not be taking place in spring 2011, but earlier, from 13 to 17 September in 2010. From 2012 onwards, IFAT will be returning to its spring slot. The 2012 dates have already been fixed – they are 7 to 11 May 2012.
