The signs pointed to storms ahead, but AchemAsia travelled the rough economic seas safely: When the halls closed on Thursday, exhibitors and organizers left with a smile. 11,834 visitors found their way to China’s most international exhibition for the process industries, only slightly less than in 2013 when 12,470 were counted. This is especially remarkable because in the run-up to the event the number of exhibitors had dropped significantly, with especially Western firms hesitant about their current China engagement.

The countdown to the 10th AchemAsia is on: on 9 May, the doors to the most international of trade fairs in the process industry open in Beijing, China. Over 4 days, close to 300 exhibitors from 17 countries are presenting their products and technologies for apparatus and plant engineering, pharmaceutical and food process technologies, the chemical and petrochemical industry and laboratory and packaging technologies.

AchemAsia will open its gates in Beijing. For the tenth time, experts from all over the world will meet in order to present products and processes for plant engineering and chemical processing, get information on the latest developments in the process industries, and make new contacts.

In 2015 for the first time, exhibitors from abroad are expected to be in the majority at Achema. The list of top trends at the show includes system and process modularization and automation, energy and resource efficiency and integrated process development. All of this requires networking between different industries and technologies. The Achema App and Achema Partnering platforms provide an ideal networking environment.

The countdown is on: from 15 to 19 June 2015 the doors will open on Achema 2015. Over 3,100 exhibitors have already registered but, as in 2012, the organisers anticipate around 3,800. Moreover, the congress programme is shortly to be released.

In answer to the great demand, Achema 2015 offers as per now additional exhibition space for Pharmaceutical, Packaging and Storage Techniques. Almost eleven months before the start, Achema 2015 is thus well on target. The organisers anticipate similar participant figures as for 2012 when around 3,800 exhibitors and 167,000 participants flocked onto the Frankfurt exhibition grounds. The deadline for submitting lectures for the Congress programme is 31 August 2014.

A good three months before the start on 13 May 2013, AchemAsia 2013 is well on course for success. The organisers anticipate a slight upturn in exhibitor figures.
