The 18th Pollutec (the international exhibition of environment equipment, technologies and services for industry and local authorities) is on course to set a new attendance record from 26th to 29th November 2002 at Lyon Eurexpo.

Sylvie Fourn is taking over as Director of Pollutec, the International Exhibition of Equipment, Technology and Services for the Environment that is part the Reed Expositions France group. She succeeds Bernard Léon, who is retiring after having devoted more than 25 years to Pollutec.

As of 28th September, over 2 months before it opens to the public, Pollutec has already signed up 1,566 exhibitors (compared with 1,425 in 1999, at the equivalent point prior to the show), including 474 foreign ones. Furthermore, nearly 12,000 visitors had applied for their show entry badges by the same date, which represents a 6% advance over the last time Pollutec was held in Paris.

Some 1,500 exhibitors (from thirty countries) and 40,000 trade visitors are expected at Paris-Nord Villepinte, France, from 4th to 7th December 2001, for the 17th Pollutec International Exhibition of Environment Equipment, Technologies and Services for Industry.

On 2 December Grundfos NoNOx received a bronze medal for its sensor product at the award ceremony in Paris. The product is the pump company’s sensor based urea dosing pump, used in SCR catalysts for purifying the exhaust from diesel vehicles.
