IFAT India to Enter Seventh Round

From October 16 to 18, 2019, IFAT India 2019 in Mumbai will open its doors for the seventh time. More than 250 exhibitors at India’s Leading Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Solid Waste and Recycling will present their solutions for the pressing environmental challenges of the Indian subcontinent — from the water crisis to sustainable urban development.

IFAT India 2019: Seawater Desalination -Technology with a Promising Future

The Indian subcontinent is facing an increasing water scarcity. The latest example is Chennai: The capital of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu needs to be supplied with the “blue gold” by special trains. According to the Desalination Institute DME, located in Duisburg, Germany, 52 different desalination technologies are currently available and could help to cope with this challenge.

Final Report IFAT Africa 2019: Approaching Southern Africa’s Environmental Challenges with Enthusiasm

The third IFAT Africa, held from July 9 to 11, 2019, was able to reinforce its reputation as the leading trade fair for water, sewage, refuse and recycling in Southern Africa. The growing numbers of exhibitors and visitors created a spirit of enthusiasm on the fair ground in Johannesburg, South Africa, as well as optimism with regard to the environmental technologies market in this part of the world.

IFAT Eurasia 2019 Closes with Strong International Participation

On March 30, 2019, the third edition of IFAT Eurasia held at the Istanbul Expo Centre (IFM) in Turkey ended. The environmental technology fair convinced with its strong internationality: the 10,467 trade visitors came from 84 countries (2017: 68 countries) to find out about trends in the water, sewage, waste and recycling sectors. Compared to the previous edition, the international participation has increased by 60 percent when compared with the last edition and reached to 16 percent in the total visitors.
