Europump, the influential body which represents 16 national pump associations in 12 EU Member States as well as Russia, Switzerland, Turkey, and the UK, has recently lent its considerable support to an important industry statement relating to the European Machinery Directive.
It is with great sadness that Europump announces the death of Prof. Bernd Stoffel, who passed away on 8th June 2021. All those who had the pleasure of knowing him, both personally and professionally, will mourn his passing. Europump and the wider pump sector has lost a strong, valuable, and committed supporter of many years.

On Wednesday 26th May, Vanni Vignoli was elected as the 30th President of Europump, the European pump industry association. In an historic first, and in keeping with other such COVID induced adaptations, the election was undertaken digitally as part of the association’s Virtual General Assembly.

Carlo Banfi, Managing Director of Sterling Fluid Systems (Italy) and President of Assopompe, the Italian Pump Manufacturers Association, is the new Europump President. He was elected President in Prague, the Czech Republic, in replacement of Dr. Sönke Brodersen.
