Among other things, KSB presents the newly developed concept of a maintenance workstation for hygienic food pumps only. The so-called LSA (Life Sciences Applications) hygiene workstation is equipped with stainless steel surfaces, work benches that are easy to clean, and tools and clothing for use in this workstation only.

Vogelsang will be presenting its RedUnit, a compact combination of macerators and pumps for food disposal. The RedUnit combines the advantages of Vogelsang’s proven twin-shaft macerator XRipper, its wet macerator RotaCut and its CC-series progressive cavity pump. The Nemo B.Max progressing cavity pump made by Netzsch presents itself as the feeding technology which is perfectly tailored to biogas applications. Solids from the dosing unit are mixed with recirculated substances in the mixing pump.

Aerobic digestion is often the second largest consumer of energy, after biological treatment aeration, at a wastewater treatment plant. Xylem has launched a new aerobic digester solution under its Sanitaire brand that decreases energy consumption by up to 90 percent, promoting more sustainable wastewater treatment operation.
