ABB has appointed Sami Atiya to its Executive Committee as President of the Discrete Automation and Motion (DM) division, effective June 13, 2016. He succeeds Pekka Tiitinen, who will return to his home country as Managing Director of ABB in Finland.

Mr. Pramod Chaudhari, Executive Chairman, Praj Industries Limited, has been appointed as Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) national committee on Bio-Energy for the 3rd consecutive year. Mr. Chaudhari has been actively involved with CII for more than a decade where he spearheaded Biofuels movement in India. He has been the Chairman of CII’s National Committee on Bio-Energy continuously for four years since 2013.

Today, the Annual General Meeting of GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft elected the new shareholder representatives to the Company s Supervisory Board. Ahmad Bastaki, Prof. Dr. Ing. Werner Bauer, Hartmut Eberlein, Dr. Helmut Perlet as well as Jean E. Spence were re-elected for another 5-year term of office. In addition, Dr. Molly P. Pietro Lori, current Head of GF Piping Systems, has decided to retire at the end of July 2016. The GF Board appointed Joost Geginat as new Head of GF Piping Systems effective 1 August 2016.
