The Gorman-Rupp Company announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Jeffrey S. Gorman, President and CEO, to serve as Chairman of the Board. As previously announced, James C. Gorman, the Company’s long-standing Chairman, informed the Board this past January of his intention to not stand for re-election as a Director at the Company’s 2019 Annual Meeting of Shareholders.

The Hydraulic Institute (HI) installed a new leadership team during the 2019 HI Annual Conference at the Vinoy Resort & Golf Club in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Freudenberg Sealing Technologies announced that Chief Operating Officer (COO) Dieter Schäfer will retire June 30, 2019. Schäfer, who is widely praised for his contributions to Freudenberg’s intense focus on quality and digitalization, has agreed to consult with the company for an additional two years upon his retirement.

Arja Talakar has been appointed CEO of Siemens Oil & Gas, effective April 1, 2019. He will be based in Houston, Texas, the global headquarters for Oil & Gas and its parent operating company, Siemens Gas and Power.

The Board of Directors of ABB and its CEO Ulrich Spiesshofer (55) have mutually agreed for him to step down from his role, which he has held since 2013. The Chairman of the Board, Peter Voser (61), will become interim CEO in addition to his current role, with immediate effect. An official search to find a new CEO has been initiated.

Franklin Electric welcomes Chris Downey as its new Territory Manager for the north central region as well as Shane Wright as its new Territory Manager for the southeast region.

Jorge M. Gomez has been elected to Xylem s Board of Directors. Mr. Gomez currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Cardinal Health, a global, integrated healthcare solutions company. In that role, Mr. Gomez is responsible for all financial activities across the enterprise including financial strategy, operational finance, external reporting, investor relations, tax strategy and planning and capital deployment.

At the Annual General Meeting of Sulzer Ltd, shareholders approved all proposals of the Board of Directors. All members of the Board of Directors were reelected. Sulzer will pay an ordinary dividend of CHF 3.50 per share to shareholders.

Sameer Kalra has passed the helm of pumping system manufacturer Framo over to newly appointed CEO, Martijn Bergink.

Yaskawa Europe with headquarters in Eschborn near Frankfurt has entered the new fiscal year 2019 with a change of executive management. Effective March 1st 2019, Manfred Stern, President & CEO of Yaskawa Europe passes the operational leadership to Bruno Schnekenburger, presently COO of Yaskawa Europe and previously responsible for Yaskawa Europe’s robot division since 2014. Manfred Stern will continue in his assignment as regional Head of Yaskawa Europe.
