AHR Expo Show Management has announced that the Council of Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Educators (CARE) and the Partnership for Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration Accreditation (PAHRA) have become the newest AHR Expo Endorsing Associations.

The Hydraulic Institute (HI) and Pump Systems Matter (PSM) will conduct the opening session of its three-part webinar series on Variable Speed Drives on January 22, 2015 at 1pm ET. Webinar participants will learn how to significantly improve pump systems reliability when using Variable Speed Drives (VSDs).

In its continuing effort to provide education on current and important topics to the pump industry, the Hydraulic Institute has collaborated with its NPSH committee members in developing a technical webinar program that focuses on NPSH and its relationship to cavitation and other pump operation.

According to a recent ASHRAE and AHR Expo survey sent to more than 1,000 HVACR manufacturers worldwide, there is growing optimism for improving economic prospects in 2015. Based on survey results, 87% of the respondents said their prospects for business were either “excellent” (26%) or “good” (61%) for the coming year. Thirteen percent of the respondents felt prospects were “fair”.

CDR Pumps are providing reliability focussed training to a number of customers. The training sessions are structured for Project Engineers, Maintenance Engineers and purchasing professionals who are users of pumps and are involved in the operation of pumps, plant problem solving, reliability or plant improvements.

On the 25th of October 2014, the pump engineer study programme celebrated its 10th anniversary with more than 70 guests, graduates, participants and lecturers. The entity behind this programme – the Pumpenfachingenieur GmbH – may look back on a successful decade.
