Hydraulic Institute Announces First Variable Speed Drives Webinar Series of 2015

19.12.2014

The Hydraulic Institute (HI) and Pump Systems Matter (PSM) will conduct the opening session of its three-part webinar series on Variable Speed Drives on January 22, 2015 at 1pm ET. Webinar participants will learn how to significantly improve pump systems reliability when using Variable Speed Drives (VSDs).

In addition to explaining how VSDs can be used to accommodate duty cycles with variable flow and head, as well as which applications to avoid, the webinar series will discuss energy optimization, life cycle reduction, single-phase to three-phase power conversion, and inrush current reduction.

The schedule for the three-part webinar series on Variable Speed Drives includes:

Session 1 – Intro & Application Considerations, January 22, 2015, 1:00-2:00pm ET

Session 2 – Protection for VFD & Proper Output, January 27, 2015, 1:00-2:00pm ET

Session 3 – Troubleshooting Problems with VFDs, January 29, 2015, 1:00-2:00pm ET

Advance registration is required. HI members and standards partners receive a 25% discount off the regular registration fee for the series.
