Flowserve Corporation announced it has received a multi-million dollar order from Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction to supply the pumps and energy recovery system (ERS) for the seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination plant located near Antofagasta, Chile. This order was booked in the third quarter of 2013.

Middle of this year, Belgian subsidiary KSB Belgium SA/NV received an order for equipping a new pumping station for the Athmania project with ten large water pumps.

When a number of Mono pumps were switched off recently, it marked the end of a 20-year operation to preserve the remains of an historic Tudor warship, the Mary Rose. The progressing cavity pumps from Mono have been used to help spray the fragile timbers of the Mary Rose with a mixture of water and wax – a crucial stage in the preservation process which has now come to an end.

For a major project, EagleBurgmann delivered currently the largest agitator seal (480mm shaft size) for use in a new PTA(Pure Terephthalic Acid) Plant in China. The order received from SPX Flow Technology included 13 agitator seals and supply systems.
