NOV Mono has delivered a turnkey project to provide an extra level of protection for a major water and waste treatment plant in Pembrokeshire, Wales. The project centers on an EZstrip progressing cavity pump which is now being used on sewage transfer duties to ensure that the plant can guarantee the quality of the treated sewage under any flow conditions.

Morrison Pump Company has been awarded the contract to supply eight high capacity Morrison Axial Flow Pumps for the US Army Corps of Engineers Picayune Strand Restoration Project.

A high efficiency diary effluent pump from NOV Mono has delivered significant benefits to the end-user on an agricultural irrigation project in New Zealand. The Mono progressing cavity pump has helped increase the efficiency of the irrigation, and also minimised the time spent on the process at the farm in Te Awamutu, on the country’s North Island.

Voith is to modernize one of the generators at one of the most important pumped storage power plants in Germany. The recently awarded contract from E.ON Kraftwerke GmbH involves the replacement, assembly and commissioning of the stator and rotor of machine 6 at the Waldeck 2 pumped storage power plant in North Hesse, Germany.

As part of the “725 HWTII” project, KSB has successfully tested a high-performance gate valve at the “Großkraftwerk Mannheim (GKM)” power plant. The gate valve is designed for a new generation of fossil-fuelled power stations with improved efficiency achieved by using steam temperatures above 700 °C.

Ebara has delivered eight pump trucks for emergency drainage to the Philippines. The drainage pump truck is equipped with ultra-lightweight pumps (about 20kg), hose, an operation panel, and a generator, and is capable of moving drainage facilities to flooded areas for early recovery and damage prevention.

Voith has received two new orders to supply the equipment for hydropower plants in the Himalayas: These comprise the complete electromechanical equipment for three generating units at the Rasuwaghadi Hydropower Plant in Nepal as well as the modernization of six turbine runners at the Salal Hydroelectric Project in India. The two projects have a total order volume of more than 23 million Euros and will both be carried out by Voith Hydro in India.

Flotech Performance Systems offer additive and dye injection skids which are used on petroleum and chemical applications. These vary in scope from injection hardware skids through to full turnkey systems designed to meet individual customer requirements and can incorporate features such as additive storage, secondary containment pipework, pumps and pump control.

Atlas Copco worked with the team at a large poultry processing company to develop a customized vacuum supply solution that extracts high volumes of giblets efficiently and cost effectively. The three new Atlas Copco GV 1200 vacuum pumps have not only improved the quality of the final product, but also use approximately one-third less energy than conventional systems.
