Calpeda

This collaboration is of great satisfaction for Calpeda and, given the very high standards to be respected and the request of quality in every aspect of the production process, it is an important recognition of the company’s own work.

The MXVL 25-2 series vertical multistage in-line pumps were used, completely of AISI 316L stainless steel, with a stainless steel tank and a power panel for automatic operation. The construction followed customer specifications, both regarding the special materials used and the extremely small sizes that make these units so compact. Not only the construction but also the testing was done in Calpeda. The very strict tests were carried out in front of both Fincantieri staff and the Italian Navy. Testing included the pump hydraulic test (according to UNI EN ISO 9906:2012), power panel testing (according to IEC EN 60204-1), the group functional testing, the vibration measurement, the group shock and the noise level, all of which were passed to the satisfaction of both the company that commissioned the work and the final client.
