Torishima received an order for high pressure feed water pumps and low pressure feed water pumps for the Pemex Cogeneration Power Plant in Mexico from Abencor in Spain.

Voith has been awarded a contract by the Canadian utility Manitoba Hydro to equip the Keeyask Generating Station located in Northern Manitoba, on the lower Nelson River, in Canada. The scope of work for Voith Hydro includes the design, supply and installation of seven new hydroelectric vertical propeller turbine generator units.

A single TR Muncher from Mono has been selected for a sludge grinding application, which was previously performed by 3 grinders, supplied by another manufacturer. The 3 grinders were struggling to deliver the required performance and maintenance levels at a large waste water treatment plant in Rhode Island, New England.

Flowserve Corporation announced it has received a major order to provide multiple pumping systems to Alstom, a France-based global leader in power generation. The orders, totaling approximately $30 million USD, were booked in the second quarter of 2014.

The Port of Tilbury is London’s major and greenest port and at each high tide the water level inside the impounding dock is raised to meet shipping and operational requirements. This is performed by four 57.5” vertical A/F Vickers Armstrong pumps installed in the late 1960’s and over the years they have served the dock extremely well.

Voith has been awarded a new contract to supply the complete electromechanical equipment for a pumped storage power plant in Thailand.

A new steam power plant is currently being built in Barh, in the Indian State of Bihar. For this purpose, the KSB Group supplied a two-digit million euro amount worth of valves by April 2014.
