Australian Pump Industries has teamed with Honda to provide a great range of Honda powered fire pumps for the coming season. Australian Pump is one of the few international customers awarded Honda Global Partner status.

BIA Kunststoff- und Galvanotechnik, a leading manufacturer of plastic components with metallic surfaces for the automotive industry, is using Qdos pumps from Watson-Marlow Pumps Group to dose process-critical additives into its electroplating machines. Replacing diaphragm pump technology, Qdos was selected for its precision, reliability and low maintenance costs.

Xylem has supplied wastewater treatment denitrification systems to three wastewater treatment plants in eastern China as part of a national strategy to improve wastewater treatment by 90 percent over five years.

The modern, modular pump system concept of Oerlikon Leybold for vacuum technology in steel degassing has proven its effectiveness. Siemens Metals Technologies now ordered another mechanical vacuum system which will be used by an end customer in Mexico. This vacuum system with an effective pumping speed of almost 600,000 m³/h, is the largest vacuum system built by Leybold in its 164-year history to date.

Verderflex provided a cost effective solution to a Swiss airport that had been experiencing significant problems with their water softening treatment. The local water supply required treatment to prevent scaling in the pipework.

Faced with a pump installation that could not handle a dewatered sludge application, the customer turned to Netzsch for a quick turn-around on a custom lubrication pump solution.

Xylem Inc. has won a contract to supply Flygt propeller pumps to two pumping stations in key areas of metropolitan Manila. Benefitting more than half a million people, Xylem’s Flygt technology will increase the flow capacity of the stations by 25 percent, helping to protect residential areas from severe monsoon flooding and improving environmental and sanitary conditions in the city.

The Umm Wual phosphate project in northern Saudi Arabia, concerned with the conveyance of the country’s rich deposits of phosphates, is currently being implemented on behalf of Ma’aden (Saudi Arabian Mining Company).

The performance of NOV Mono pumps in demanding applications has again been highlighted by a recent project in Sweden. One of the country’s leading pulp and paper producers has invested in two Mono E-Range progressing cavity (PC) pumps which will be used in conjunction with the existing Mono equipment already in use at the plant in Stockholm.

For a plant that processes hard-to-handle seaweed into agricultural fertilizer products, a successful trial of a Netzsch progressing cavity pump led to an installation with low total cost of ownership.
