At the same time, it is calling on decision makers around the world to work together to provide clean drinking water in order to support the stabilization of crisis regions.
Going into the kitchen in the morning, turning on the water tap and taking the first drink of clean water: a matter of course for people in Germany. For the inhabitants of the Ukrainian regions such as Kherson, Zaporizhzhya and Marganets, however, this was not the case for a long time. The war caused destruction to the infrastructure here, making the water supply critical. A humanitarian emergency that Lutz-Jesco GmbH has alleviated.
Lutz Jesco participates in mobile waterworks for Ukraine
The company from Wertheim in Baden-Württemberg has equipped three mobile waterworks, supported by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), with modern treatment technology. The company's electrolysis system also makes it possible to produce chlorine from simple salt and to disinfect the water. With a treatment capacity of 300 cubic metres per hour, the fully automated, mobile waterworks can supply around 300,000 people with clean and healthy water.
Lutz-Jesco continues to expand its charitable efforts in 2024
To mark World Water Day 2024, Lutz-Jesco is now pledging to step up its charitable efforts and further expand partnerships for aid projects. "As a committed player in the water industry that is continuously working to improve water supply worldwide, we see it as our social obligation to support emergency aid projects in crisis areas with state-of-the-art technology," says Heinz Lutz, CEO of Lutz Holding GmbH. "In our eyes, a safe drinking water supply plays a key role in stabilizing crisis areas. By working together and using modern technologies, we can help to prevent the spread of disease, alleviate the suffering of people, and lay the foundations for peace and stability in the world. That is why we are also calling on decision makers, organizations and civil society around the world to work together to protect and provide clean drinking water - especially in crisis and war zones."
