This latest development from the manufacturer of positive displacement pump technology, upgrades the range to 3A certification. The Stainless Steel Power Frame is easy to retrofit as an exchangeable spare part and offers customers significant additional value without additional cost. The paint-free and corrosion resistant Stainless Steel Power Frame is designed to suit the best-selling 2", 2.5" and 4" MasoSine SPS pumps which offer flow rates of 250 litres per hour right up to 41,760 litres per hour.

Responding to customer feedback

Ask any plant engineer about their biggest concern where hygienic applications are concerned and the answer will invariably surround the amount of corrosion that manifests on conventional painted cast iron pump frames, which regards to the outside.

Listening to customers is a key element of any Watson-Marlow MasoSine development programme and in this instance it has led directly to the launch of the Stainless Steel Power Frame. Another extremely important topic is the cleanability inside the pump. The new Stainless Steel Power Frame upgrades the range to 3A certification with CIP (Cleaning in place).

No extra cost

Through intensive investment in the development process and new manufacturing techniques (the 1.4301 stainless steel frame is made using investment casting), it is offered to customers at the same price as the cast iron frame being replaced. Furthermore, because of the eager anticipation for a rust-free solution, the whole Stainless Steel Power Frame will also be available as an exchangeable spare part.

Ease of cleaning

Ease of cleaning was another priority design issue when developing the Stainless Steel Power Frame. For example, a flush system can be connected quickly and simply - only the distance ring has to be changed. The base frame can also be rotated through 180° to provide more space under the pumphead, again facilitating straightforward cleaning procedures to realise the "6 o clock"-nozzle direction.
