Neptune Chemical Pump Company Names Ralph Gessner New VP/GM
Neptune Chemical Pump Co has announced that effective June 1, Ralph Gessner has assumed the position of Vice President/General Manager of Neptune Chemical Pump Co.
In this role, he will report directly to Dean Douglas, President of the Dover Corporation’s Pump Solutions Group (PSG), of which Neptune is one of six operating companies.
Gessner joins Neptune after most recently working for Hydro Systems Company and Nova Controls, companies that are also members of the Dover Corporation’s Fluid Solutions platform. While at Nova Controls, Gessner was credited for achieving and sustaining operational excellence, most notably by building a culture of high performance and lean operations. As Vice President of Engineering at Hydro Systems, Nova Control’s parent company and the leading independent manufacturer of proportioning/dispensing equipment for a wide range of industries, Gessner was the driving force behind more than 30 product innovations that helped Hydro achieve the market-space dominance it currently enjoys. In the subsequent position of Hydro’s Managing Director, Gessner established a successful Asia Pacific Division within the first year of its inception. Gessner also has other work experience in the aerospace industry with Hercules and GenCorp.
“We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Ralph as he begins his new position with Neptune,” said Douglas. “With a resume as comprehensive as the one he brings to the position, there is no question that he is the right man to lead Neptune to greater heights.”
Gessner earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from California State University-Long Beach and an M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix.
