Lowara can help municipalities save water

The Lowara Hydrovar variable speed unit with its newly revised software has opened a new approach to saving water.

Municipal water providers have to supply water all day round but generally find at times of off peak, in the night, the pressures are too high for the demand and leaks can occur in distribution pipework.

With the new software the Lowara Hydrovar has the option of alternating between two set required pressures. In this example by using the Hydrovar in-conjunction with a time clock means that the water provider lower the pumps delivery pressure at these off peak times and reducing the amount of water lost.
