ITT Industries Realigns Fluid Technology Operations, Strengthening Position In Key Market Segments and Regions Worldwide

Upper Saddle River, NJ, ITT Industries, the world's premier producer of pumps and related components, announced that it has reorganized its global fluid technology business to enhance its focus on high-growth market segments and regions worldwide. The new organization is designed to accelerate the company's expansion by enhancing its ability to serve customers in the water supply, wastewater, biopharmaceutical, process, industrial and building trade sectors in specific regions worldwide.

"ITT Industries Fluid Technology is now a more robust and agile organization, able to deliver both complete fluid technology solutions and highly specialized product offerings, worldwide, with both speed and efficiency."

The new organization creates five key groups focused on the company's major served markets.

The Water market will be served by the new Water Technology Group, serving customers worldwide involved in residential and commercial, municipal and irrigation pumping and treatment applications. The Group brings together ITT Industries' Goulds Pumps Water Technologies' residential well water system, agricultural and irrigation pump capabilities; Lowara stainless steel pump manufacturing technology for residential, agricultural and irrigation applications; and Vogel pumps for clear, contaminated or aggressive liquids. Three divisions within the group will concentrate on the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The Wastewater market will be served by two separate organizations: Flygt, the world leader in submersible technology and system solutions for wastewater pumping & mixing as well as dewatering and Sanitaire, the global leader in design and production of aeration products and systems for wastewater treatment. Sanitaire, was previously part of Flygt's organization. Sanitiare's realignment as a separate, more visible entity reflects ITT Industries' strategy to strengthen its presence and its focus in markets with the most significant growth potential. The successful collaboration between Flygt and Sanitaire in serving the wastewater market with aeration solutions will continue.

The Biopharmaceutical/Process market will be served by Engineered Valves Division, which will be made up of three separate units. The first is the Pure-Flo Solution Group which provides hygienic process components and systems for bioprocessing applications. The second unit Richter Chemie-Technik has corrosion-resistant, Teflon-lined pumps and valves for aggressive pure processes. The third unit offers a range of valves and related components for industrial processes. The Engineered Valve Division brings specialized fluid technology capabilities to serve biopharmaceutical and specialty bioprocessing applications worldwide.

The Industrial Pump market, will be served by the Industrial Pump Group with core brands such as Goulds, A-C, PumpSmart, and PRO Services and, will continue its successful focus on its core businesses addressing the industrial processing requirements of customers in general industrial, chemical processing, pulp and paper, and other selected industrial segments.

The Building Trades market is currently served by the Fluid Handling Division's market leading brands: Bell & Gossett, McDonnell & Miller, Domestic Pump and Hoffman Steam Specialties and Pumps. These units manufacture a broad range of world class products used in HVAC applications in the residential and commercial construction markets.
