ITT Industries´ Jabsco Wins NMMA Honors for Innovation

20.02.2002

MIAMI, Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- ITT Industries' Jabsco, a leading

manufacturer of marine pumps, fixtures and accessories, has received an Innovation Award from the National Marine Manufacturers Association for its Sensor Max VSD, a silent-running energy efficient on-board water pump. Sensor Max was given the award at the Miami International Boat Show, the largest consumer show of its kind in North America.

"We're very proud of our Sensor Max VSD ... honored and recognized with

the NMMA 2002 Innovation Award, recreational boating industry's highest honor

for product excellence," said Dick Lee, Jabsco Marketing Manager. "Our

innovative VSD pump allows home-like flow and pressure on your boat or RV."

Jabsco's Sensor Max VSD maintains a steady water flow while controlling

hot water mix. Jabsco introduced two models of a unique Variable Speed Drive

(VSD) Water Pressure System at the Boat Show. These VSD models need no

pressure switch. The operation is sensor controlled, featuring a

microprocessor for precise speed control to match the system demand. As more

water is needed, the motor responds to drive the pump for more flow.

Conversely, as the demand lessens, the motor slows to a "super quiet speed,"

still maintaining a steady system pressure. The result is an unbelievably

steady home-like flow.
