A new Service Centre in Limerick has been opened by ITT Flygt Ireland as part of its strategy to roll-out a network of support hubs aimed at service and aftermarket customers across the country.

The 2250 sq.ft Centre, located in the Ballysimon Road district of Limerick, is fully fitted out with repair workshops, a hire depot and administrative offices and employs sales and service personnel.

Alison Kirwan, General Manager for Flygt Ireland says, “The location of the new Centre was carefully selected to cater specifically for Flygt’s service and aftermarket customers in the Munster and Connaught regions. It is also a platform from which Flygt Ireland can promote its repair, service and hire capabilities to all market sectors, including municipal and local authorities, mines and quarries, construction and industry in the south west region of Ireland.”

The Limerick workshop is equipped with tools and test equipment designed specifically for carrying out Flygt pump overhauls. Flygt service engineers based at Limerick are trained in repairing not only submersible pumps but also a wide range of other centrifugal and positive displacement pumps. A full submersible hire fleet covering submersible drainage and dewatering pumps, submersible mixers, ejectors and aerators will also be available for hire from the Limerick depot.

Alison Kirwan continues, “The combination of these services locally means customer’s needs can be met quickly and efficiently, minimising downtime and providing peace of mind.”
