Flygt Service Wins New Wessex Water Contract

20.02.2006

ITT Flygt’s Aftermarket Service division has been awarded a framework agreement by Wessex Water for Submersible Pump Repair Service. The ability of Flygt to demonstrate full compliance with ATEX and DSEAR regulations in respect of pump repair activities was a significant factor in the award of this contract.

Flygt has provided a submersible pump repair service to Wessex Water for the last seven years, which formed part of a maintenance agreement. The framework agreement builds further on this relationship to add value to the operation and maintenance of all Wessex Water pumping stations.

Peter Lewington, General Manager Service, said, “The framework agreement award is testament to the hard work of all those involved in the contract with Wessex over the last seven years, in particular the staff at Highbridge Service Centre. The contract is service level driven, providing Wessex Water with cost certainty, guaranteed repair times and genuine warranty support.”

ITT Flygt is the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of submersible pumps, mixers and aeration systems. Its products are used in water and wastewater plants, for irrigation, construction and mining projects and in the process industry.

ITT Flygt exclusively distributes Allweiler Pumps Ltd products throughout the UK and Ireland. Both companies can now offer a range of complementary pump products to customers within the industrial market.

Through its Monitoring and Control division, ITT Flygt solely distributes telemetry and monitoring and control systems from Dynamic Logic. When used in conjunction with Flygt products, its systems offer customers reduced operational costs and benefits.
