AchemAsia 2019 will take place in Shanghai

02.07.2018

Moving into its fourth decade, AchemAsia is setting out for new horizons: The International Expo and Innovation Forum for Sustainable Chemical Production will take place from 21-23 May 2019 in Shanghai, China. With an updated event profile, the eleventh edition focusses on topics that are especially relevant for the Chinese process industry, putting a strong emphasis on sustainability and innovation.

Founded in 1989 as a spin-off of ACHEMA to cater to the needs of China’s then developing industry, AchemAsia has since grown into a platform where the latest technologies and innovations are discussed and traded that are relevant to the process industry worldwide. Attracting about 400 exhibitors from China and abroad, ACHEMA’s “little sister” has now matured and developed its own profile based on the “hot topics” in the Chinese and Asian market:

  • Process Technology
  • Pharma Technology
  • Industrial Water Management
  • Plant and Process Safety
  • Digitalization

“We are putting the growth and core sectors of China’s process industry in the centre of the event’s focus, with sustainability as overriding anchor theme”, says Thomas Scheuring, CEO of DECHEMA Exhibitions. The move from Beijing to Shanghai also follows the lead of the industry. The exhibition will be accompanied by a congress jointly organized by DECHEMA and local and international partners. The individual sessions are set up as satellite events, guaranteeing a high relevance for the audience active or interested in the Chinese process industry.
