Improved Low Water Cut-Off/Pump Controller Available from McDonnell & Miller

30.05.2001

Chicago, IL -- May 23, 2001 --McDonnell & Miller, a unit of ITT Industries, has enhanced its Series PS-800 conductance-style low water cut-off boiler controls. The innovative microprocessor-based controls provide contractors and installers with easy-to-understand troubleshooting diagnostics, ensuring proper installation and reducing installation time.

Providing continuous boiler protection against low-water conditions, the next generation of Series PS-800 low water cut-off/pump controllers are ideal for steam and hot water boilers in residential, commercial and industrial applications.

The Series PS-800 probe sensitivity has also been doubled, reducing nuisance shutdowns caused by low boiler water conductivity. A new shorted probe sensing feature indicates grounding problems at installation.

Other features of the updated Series PS-800 include:

  • Delay on break (DOB) and delay on make (DOM) indication
  • 7,000 ohms sensitivity
  • Extended barrel, remote and short probe models are now available
  • NEMA 1 enclosure, UL and CSA listed
