Xylem Inc. announced the divestiture of its Wolverhampton, United Kingdom-based valves business, Xylem Flow Control Limited, to Rotork plc, a leading actuator manufacturer and flow control company, for approximately U.S. $30 million (£18 million). [Previously reported as U.S. $25 million].

March 2014 saw KSB win a contract to supply 189 process pumps for the new Nghi Son refinery in Vietnam. The location is situated around 200 kilometres south of Hanoi in the Tinh Gia district. The plant under construction is Vietnam’s second refinery and is due to enter operation in 2017.

Franklin Electric Co., Inc. has approved a plan to close its Wittlich, Germany manufacturing facility. As part of this action, the Company will transfer the existing Wittlich manufacturing activity to its Brno, Czech Republic facility. The transfer should be completed by the middle of 2016.
