The new Bürkert production site in Pune, India, was officially opened at a festive inauguration on 16 October 2024. With the new building, Bürkert Fluid Control Systems is strengthening its position in the Indian market and will be able to serve local customers even better in the future with products, systems and solutions “Made in India”.

The demand for oligonucleotide-based drugs is constantly increasing. To meet the increased demand, pump and system manufacturer LEWA is supplying pharmaceutical supplier Bachem with a new inline dilution system to expand production capacities at the company’s main site in Bubendorf (Switzerland) in the company’s largest production building to date. The system enables precise and flexible dosing of dilution solutions.

After 18 years of successful work, Dr. Andreas Kämpf left the Steinhagen-based pump manufacturer at the end of October. With his creativity and his instinct for attention-grabbing campaigns, as well as his openness to new communication channels and technologies, he has contributed significantly to the development and success of the brand and the company. A Bredel peristaltic hose pump has shown the ideal qualities for transferring thickened sludge in the production of biogas for Scheldestromen water board (Waterschap Scheldestromen) in the Netherlands. A Bredel 65 hose pump is transferring polymer-thickened sludge of 6 to 8% to tanks for fermentation at Scheldestromen water board’s treatment plant in Terneuzen, Zeeland.

On October 17, WEG inaugurated its new manufacturing site in Santo Tirso, Portugal, marking an important step in its European expansion strategy.
